Bangkok to Pattaya - How to Get to Pattaya from Bangkok Airport

Travelling from Bangkok to Pattaya?  Just Arrived at Bangkok Airport?

Book your trip now!  For all you first timers arriving at Bangkok Airport, you probably had a nice long trip and want to stretch your legs and relax.  This isn't the time yet.  Depending on your travel times and methods, expect a minimum of 90 minutes by car or 3 hours by Bus travel time plus any times allocated with picking up your luggage, customs paperwork, currency exchange and possibly food to eat.  So when everything is really finished, your trip from Bangkok to Pattaya really was a 3 hour excursion.

So lets re-examine some methods of transportation.

Car - Whether you have buddies or you are insane and decide to rent a vehicle, 90 minutes is an estimated time it would take you to arrive at your Pattaya Hotel.  Don't take our advice on exact time as it's all estimates.  Just do not get lost and do not stop at fine dining establishments and expect 90 minute arrival.

Limo - For those with a grander lifestyle, there is always this option.  Although we have no ties with this company http://www.imagelimo.com/ , at 2400 baht for a one way trip, we highly recommend it for a luxurious, reliable, relaxing ride to your Pattaya hotel destination.

Bus - Buses leave daily and at a price of 200-300 Baht.  Not much to add about buses since they are self explanatory.  I personally am more afraid as they tend to be sweaty and unclean but that's just my feeling.  Most will say they are decent and inexpensive options.  This option is generally 3 hours to arrive to your Pattaya hotel destination.

Taxi - at roughly 800-1000 baht, a taxi ride will take you too your doorstep.  2 hours from the minute you hope off the plane, you can be at the beach.
